Hello, my name is Sita. I am an IMPACT Nepal fieldworker. I organise clinics in villages and make communities aware of health topics. I teach good hygiene, what a balanced diet is, how a pregnant woman should care for herself and how to prevent disease.
I help poor families to establish vegetable gardens and show them how to grow vegetables and why they are so important for the health of the family.
We go door to door reaching children who have not been immunised. We also take vitamin A to the malnourished ones because deficiency can cause a child to go blind.
Stark poverty abounds in our community and prevents people from seeking treatment for ear disease. So IMPACT’s free mobile ear surgery camps bring relief and prevent loss of hearing.
