Our UK programme, The Tasty Team, aims to prevent a range of potentially disabling diseases and serious conditions, by providing cooking sessions, budgeting help and general nutritional advice to improve the health and wellbeing of children and families in Mid Sussex.
In 2017 IMPACT UK’s Tasty Team volunteers were awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, for their work in supporting people across West Sussex to adopt lifelong healthy eating habits.
The award is the highest a voluntary group can receive in the UK and is regarded as the MBE for volunteer groups.
‘Get Started with Cooking is a fantastic local programme for disadvantaged young people that has IMPACT Foundation at its heart. The young people respond well to the trainers engaging and enthusiastic style and as the week progresses you can really see their confidence developing.
The course really wouldn’t be the same
without the hard work and dedication of IMPACT Foundation and their volunteers.’
